Working one-on-one with members to help them run profitable businesses is what Alan Philibeck likes most about his job as a field service supervisor for Saputo. Since joining the business in 1996, Alan has been helping dairy producers use programs offered by Saputo to improve their businesses.

Alan says his favorite part of being a field supervisor is procuring milk. He has truly been an asset to Saputo when it comes to procuring farms. “I truly believe in Saputo and the fact that they have a vested interest in the future of the dairy industry.”

“I enjoy meeting new people and trying to help them find ways to make a profit.” According to Alan “Saputo offers a wide variety of innovative programs and services that dairy producers can benefit from.”

“I also feel that Saputo offers a competitive pay price in addition to our programs which helps me recruit new dairy producers.”

Alan covers farms in parts of Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie, and parts of Michigan’s Upper peninsula including Delta, Marquette, and Menominee counties. He supervises all the Field Service activities out of the Black Creek plant. Growing up on a dairy farm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with 5 brothers and sisters, Alan has been involved in the dairy industry all his life.

Alan went to college at Michigan State University and received his 2-year degree in Dairy Science. After graduating Alan and his wife Michelle farmed 170 acres and milked 50 registered Holstein cows for eight years. Alan then left farming and became a field rep. He and his wife have three boys.

Spending time with his family is very important to him. In his free time Alan enjoys spending times with his children and taking them camping and hunting.
