Field Representative Ken Beutler
When our dairy producers are struggling with plate counts, field representative Ken Beutler is called in as our local expert. He specializes in working with farmers to diagnose why plate counts are up. He will work with you to ensure that your equipment is cleaning properly and you or your employees are following correct cleaning procedures.
“The first thing I do after making sure the milk is cooling properly is to look for buildup in either the bulk tank or pipeline,” says Ken.
Ken says that the water must be at the right temperature in each wash cycle for both the bulk tank and pipeline to clean properly. If the water temperature drops below 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the detergent cycle the fat will deposit back onto the equipment.
Ken serves the needs of dairy producers in parts of Columbia, Sauk, Adams, Marquette, Green Lake, Waushara, Waupaca, Portage, Wood, Marathon, Clark, Eau Claire, Buffalo and Jackson counties.
Ken graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1971 with a BS Degree in Biology with a minor in resource management. Previously Ken worked for the department of Natural resources in a fish hatchery in Westfield.
“One of the most critical things I’ve learned as a Field Service Representative, is the importance of getting farmers ready for federal survey inspections. I believe Saputo field reps go above and beyond when it comes to preparing their farms for the annual inspections.”
Ken spends his free time with his wife, Gert, and daughter Amanda. If not with them, Ken likes to hunt, fish, shoot trap and sporting clays.
