Milking Equipment Analysis Program

Saputo offers its dairy producers diagnostic and milk systems analysis for a nominal fee. This tool can be used to identify issues leading to the incidence of clinical and sub-clinical mastitis and lower overall Somatic Cell Counts to help you achieve your milk quality goals and increase your bottom line.

Diagnostic Service

The Diagnostic Service provided to Saputo’s dairy producers includes an on farm consultation by one of our diagnostic service team members and your field representative. Contact is also made with your local milk equipment company, if desired.

During the visit, your milking system is checked utilizing industry standard equipment to ensure an entire systems overview. A complete list of items is analyzed based on National Mastitis Council standards.

Along with the complete evaluation of the milking system, a milking time and milking procedure analysis is completed. Additional time is also spent evaluating the cow and her environment.

Documentation of the entire systems analysis, and verbal recommendations on milking protocol or system adjustments are distributed to the producer, field representative and your current milking equipment service supplier through follow-up reports.

Members of Saputo’s Diagnostic Team will make no system adjustments on farm.

Fee

There is a service fee of $100 with an additional $50 charge for parlor systems.
